Herringbone is the pattern every 2026 trend report is naming, and this is the version built to last: 13/16 inch thick engineered European Oak with a 6mm wear layer, cut into 4.75 inch blocks that lay into the classic zig-zag.

Plan for more material than a straight lay. Herringbone generates far more cuts at the perimeter, so we recommend a 20 percent waste allowance rather than the usual 10. The calculator on this page already accounts for that if you select the herringbone option.
